Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim thinks it is important the investor went public with his extended perspective - but notes nothing is assured about the next day in soccer, let alone three years. During a discussion with The Times in recent days, the co-owner said it could take the head coach three years to produce meaningful results at United's home ground. Coming in a period when Amorim's future has been under scrutiny following an extended sequence of disappointing results, the comments helped quell a portion of the current stress. But, speaking before the centenary clash with historic adversaries the Merseyside club at the famous stadium, Amorim emphasized how tomorrow is difficult to forecast in soccer. "It's truly positive to receive that message but he tells me constantly, occasionally through communication following matches - but understand, I'm aware and the co-owner recognizes, that football is not like that," he said. "The vital factor is the upcoming match. Despite having backers, you cannot manage tomorrow in soccer." Chief executive Omar Berrada has conceded it has required much more time for the manager to adapt to the English top flight following his move from his former club during the winter than anyone imagined. United have won 10 successes in 34 top-flight fixtures under the 40-year-old. They haven't managed two league games in a row and didn't complete a round of league games in the current term better than ninth place. The concerning numbers are stretching belief in the head coach among the Red Devils supporters approaching a sequence of matches their team has struggled during for the previous two campaigns. Amorim said he does not feel the uncertainty within the organization at their training facility and is firm nothing equals the expectation he puts on the squad - and in some senses, he would prefer Ratcliffe to refrain from seeking to establish serenity because he fears the effect it might produce on the squad. "It's not only a thing that people talk about, I experience it daily," he stated. "It's truly positive to hear it because it helps our fans to understand the management realize it needs a while. "But at the same moment, I'm not fond of it because it creates an impression that we own time to work things out. I don't desire that sense in our team. "The expectation I put on the team or to myself is so much bigger [versus outside influences]. In football, particularly at major teams, you have to show your value every weekend."
