Marcus Rashford wants to stay at Barcelona when his temporary deal from the English side concludes in the offseason.

The La Liga outfit retain the option to purchase the English striker for good for £28m - a lower fee than the £40m United would demand from any alternative side.

The 27-year-old's Manchester United contract runs to twenty twenty-eight but he looks to have uncertain prospects at his former home while the current head coach is head coach.

"Absolutely," the player told the sports network when asked if he hoped to stay in La Liga. "I am relishing this side and I feel for anybody who loves the sport, this club is one of the key franchises in the legacy of the sport. For a footballer it is an honor."

The forward spent the concluding months of the prior term at the Birmingham club, where his form was reinvigorated under the Spanish manager.

He took his scoring record to five strikes in a dozen games for Barcelona thanks to a double against Olympiakos in the European competition on Tuesday.

He, who is scheduled to play in his debut Clasico against the Madrid giants this upcoming matchday, feels he is benefiting from a new environment.

"People forget this, but over two decades of my life was with the club. So occasionally you just crave a move. I believe maybe this is the scenario with me and I'm loving all aspects."
