Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August worth $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are likely, as the firm intending to reveal all specifics in its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.

Earlier reports had indicated that Paramount planned to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.

By December 2024, the organization retained about 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
